Cabinet Memories

The Cabinet of Memories series displays a collection of eclectic and esoteric objects and artefacts found by the artist on abandoned sites in Hong Kong as part of her field research. This contemporary version of a cabinet of curiosities is a testimony to past traditions and ways of life in Hong Kong over the past 50 to 100 years. It is the artist’s way to document the stories and histories of particular sites such as schools, tenements, shophouses, village house and industrial structures.
