Densities: Hong Kong's Urban Traces
In the triptych Densities (Wanchai, North Point and Sham Shui Po), the artist’s process began with neighbourhood plans of built footprints. Contours and shapes of blocks are juxtaposed and density is visually exaggerated and manipulated revealing the land saturation and the perpetual renewal of Hong Kong's urbanscape. The building clusters become abstract entities and are assembled, diluted, scattered, perforated like splashes of ink or pieces of an organic puzzle.
